Summary

Use this guide to deposit fiat into Reah from an external bank account. This article explains how to send USD into your Reah balance, how fiat deposits work, and why a deposit may be delayed.

How fiat deposits work

A fiat deposit in Reah is an incoming bank transfer from an external bank account into your Reah banking details. Once the deposit is received and processed, the funds appear in your Reah balance and can be used for supported workflows.

When your deposit is processed, your balance is held as USDG (Global Dollar) β€” a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the US dollar, issued by Paxos and regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. USDG is fully backed by US dollar reserves and redeemable on a one-to-one basis, so your balance always reflects the exact dollar value of your deposit.

Before you deposit fiat

Before sending a deposit, confirm:

  • you are using the correct bank account details shown in Reah
  • the transfer rail matches the instructions provided in Reah, such as ACH or wire
  • any required reference information is included exactly as shown
  • the deposit amount is within any applicable limits or operational requirements

  2. Locate your business's deposit instructions.
  3. Copy the correct bank details and any required reference information.

Deposit timing

Deposit timing depends on the payment rail, bank processing windows, cutoff times, and any required review steps. In general:

  • ACH deposits may take longer than wires
  • deposits initiated outside bank processing windows may post on the next business day
  • additional review can delay when funds appear in Reah

Why a deposit may be delayed

A fiat deposit may take longer if:

  • incorrect or incomplete reference details were included
  • the sending bank is still processing the payment
  • the payment was sent after cutoff time
  • the deposit is under review
  • the funds were sent from an unsupported or mismatched account
