Create and use a Smart Wallet

Summary

Smart Wallet is a self-custodial wallet that automatically puts eligible stablecoins to work in supported earning strategies. You can continue to receive, send, and convert assets as you would with a standard Wallet — without manually depositing into Smart Balance or managing the earning strategy yourself.

How Smart Wallet works

Smart Wallet combines everyday wallet functionality with automatic earning. When you deposit an eligible stablecoin, Reah automatically allocates the funds to a supported earning strategy. You do not need to choose a protocol, make a separate Smart Balance deposit, or manually redeem funds before using them.

Smart Wallet remains self-custodial throughout this process. Your assets remain controlled by your Wallet and are not transferred to a Reah-custodied account.

How your balance is organized

A Smart Wallet may show your funds in two balance categories:

  • Smart Balance is the portion of your Wallet allocated to earning strategies.
  • Wallet Balance holds assets that are not currently allocated to an earning strategy. Deposits worth less than $10 go to Wallet Balance instead of Smart Balance.

Smart Balance and Wallet Balance are both part of the same Smart Wallet. You generally do not need to move funds between them before sending or converting assets.

Supported assets and networks

Smart Wallet currently supports automatic allocation for:

  • USDC on Ethereum
  • USDC on Base
  • USDT on Ethereum

Supported assets and networks may change. Check the options shown in Reah for current availability.

How to use Smart Wallet

  1. Create a Smart Wallet.
  2. Deposit an eligible stablecoin.
  3. Reah automatically allocates eligible funds to Smart Balance.
  4. Your funds begin earning at the APY shown in Reah.
  5. Send or convert your funds whenever needed. Reah automatically prepares any amount currently allocated to an earning strategy.

View your balance and earnings

Open the Smart Wallet to view:

  • Wallet Balance and Smart Balance
  • The current APY and your earnings, including today’s earnings, earnings from current holdings, and earnings history
  • Active earning routes
