Summary

You can freeze a virtual card to temporarily pause spending without losing its settings. If a card is lost, compromised, or no longer needed, you can cancel it permanently. Both actions take effect immediately.

Freeze a card

Freezing a card blocks all new transactions while keeping the card active in your Reah workspace. Spending limits and settings are preserved, and you can unfreeze it at any time. Only admins can freeze and unfreeze cards.

When to freeze a card:

  • You suspect unauthorized use but are not yet certain
  • A cardholder is temporarily inactive
  • You want to pause spend while reviewing activity

To freeze a card:

  1. Go to Cards in your Reah dashboard.
  2. Select the card you want to freeze.
  3. At Status, click the edit icon and change the status to Freeze.

Any transaction attempted on a frozen card will be declined. To resume use, select the card and click Unfreeze card.

Cancel a card

Canceling a card is permanent. The card number is retired and cannot be reused.

When to cancel a card:

  • A card has been lost or stolen
  • A team member has left the organization
  • A card is no longer needed

To cancel a card:

  1. Go to Cards in your Reah dashboard.
  2. Select the card you want to cancel.
  3. Click Cancel card and confirm.

Pending transactions will still settle normally after cancellation. No new charges can be made on the card. If you need to dispute a specific charge, see Dispute a card transaction.

What to do next

  • Report a lost or stolen card
  • Dispute a card transaction
  • Set card spending limits
